Asthma, H1N1, teen, vaccine?

I’m 16 have chronic daily headaches, scoliosis, two dehydrated discs, and take 25mh tizanidine 6 times daily. I have asthma but it’s never a problem unless I exercise or ocassionaly due to allergies. Should I get the H1N1 vaccine??? Why?

Yes. People who are dieing from H1N1 are those with underlying medical conditions. Asthma is the most common according to the CBS news today. It has to do with asthma being an inflammatory lung disease and H1N1 being a respiratory disease that causes inflammation in the lungs.
You can not get the flu from the flu shot, you can not get the H1N1 flu from the H1N1 shot.
You need to get both vaccinations.
You’re considered in the PRIORITY group to get the vaccine given your underlying conditions. The decision to get it or not is completely up to you, but some of the most noted side effects of H1N1 infection is pneumonia and having asthmatic lungs will only complicate your recovery if you were to get it.
