Chronic fatigue syndrome, or CFS, was first identified in the 1980s, but the cause is very hard to determine. It encompasses many different symptoms and discomforts. It is defined as significant fatigue for a period of more than six months, not related to exertion or lack of sleep, and associated with other symptoms. The patient feels fluey, no energy, frequent headaches, sore joints and lymph nodes, and has trouble concentrating.
The most common CFS symptoms are:

Sometimes the problems that come along with migraines can be so severe that they interrupt daily life. Fortunately, headache clinics across the country can offer help. Although the vast majority of headaches are transitory and minor problems, some portions of the population suffer from headaches that can trigger severe pain episodes, bringing daily life to a halt. In these cases, preventive measures should be undertaken as much as possible. Effective treatment of the problem can help to restore quality of life and daily function.

I am just wondering – I have had almost daily headaches for a long time – around 5 years. I have had a full workup with MRI, CT, all normal. I have tried Neurontin, Topamax, Tramadol, antidepressants (which I still take), acupuncture, chiropractic, and of course Tylenol, ibuprofen, Aleve, which don’t work at all. The only meds that take the headaches away are Vicodin, Percocet, etc. My doctor doesn’t want to give me those because she thinks at one point they were causing rebound headaches. I recently was given some for a dental procedure and it was wonderful to have a break from the headache pain also. It doesn’t take much, only one or two a day. Is there something I am missing? The only other thing I haven’t tried is exercise, which I hate. I have trouble believing that this would help with headaches anyway. Anyone out there who has had chronic headaches, and can give me an idea of what helped for them? I am a 44 F.
Thanks – Aleve is the brand name for naproxen, tried it.
What’s the theory about fresh garlic? Also, do you mean push in between my eyebrows or in the middle of one of them?

I have these constant headaches and occasional migraines and I’m wondering what’s the best non off the counter meds I can take, I know a doctor has to prescribe them, but which ones are safe and actually work? I tried naturals ways to prevent my headaches but it they don’t really help, or last for that long. I use Advil, Tylenol, they’re okay, but Excedrin is the best but I know I should not take it a lot because it could cause rebound headaches like any head-ache pill. And also if you’re someone who also suffers from headaches , what do you do to get rid of it ? (naturally ) and which meds do you use ? I really need help because these headaches are just killing me lately
- Thanks ♥
And I did want to add, that i’ve had an Mri and cat scan and my results came back normal

I am 24 years old. I have been experiencing headaches since the 7th grade. My headaches usually involve migraine pain in the right back side of my head, facial pain, jaw pain, and neck pain. I have been on more medications than I can even remember for prevention and treatment of the headaches. I have sen all sorts of doctors, a physical therapist, pain specialist, orthopedist, neurologist, and probably more. I am at my witts end! I just had sinus surgery 2 weeks ago in hopes it would help, I don’t think it has. There has to be someone out there who has a similar problem that could possibly help?? Thank you everyone!

Chronic fatigue syndrome is a disease that was first named in the 1980s. Even now, as increasing numbers of people are being diagnosed with CFS, many people inside and outside the health professions still doubt its existence or maintain that it’s a psychological ailment. People previously healthy and full of energy may experience a variety of symptoms, including extreme fatigue, weakness and headaches as well as difficulty concentrating and painful joints, muscles and lymph nodes. Typically CFS follows a viral infection (e.g. cold or viral stomach bug), and is sometimes found after mononucleosis infections. Non-specific symptoms of fatigue , tiredness , exhaustion , and aches make CFS difficult to diagnose and similar to other conditions such as lupus , multiple sclerosis , fibromyalgia and Lyme disease. People with CFS are often unable to perform normally at work and home because of their long-term fatigue and problems with short-term memory. The hallmark symptoms of CFS are overwhelming fatigue and weakness that make it extremely difficult to perform routine and daily tasks, like getting out of bed, dressing, and eating. The illness can severely affect school, work, and leisure activities, and cause physical and emotional symptoms that can last for months or even years.

Chronic headache is a real problem for millions of sufferers. Don’t let chronic headache detract from your enjoyment of life. Although medical science has not found the exact causes of chronic headache, it is widely known that there are some common triggers associated with the problem. Chronic headache can be a lifelong issue that makes daily functioning difficult. The medical community has a three category system for identifying headaches. Primary headaches are the chief source of headache pain among the population, with cluster and secondary headaches making up a far smaller segment of that number.
