Although the symptoms are generally the same, migraine headaches come in different types. For women, migraines are generally related to the fluctuations in hormones from menopause and menstruation. Perimenopausal and menopausal women are likely to experience migraine headaches when hormone levels fluctuate, but there are other menopause symptoms that will cause migraine headaches. There are psychological and physical aspects that also affect incidences of migraines.
Psychological influences include emotional fluctuations (like mood swings), anxiety, and stress. These specific influences are a result of a chemical imbalance in the brain and need to be addressed quickly. The chemical imbalances are what trigger the migraines.

I’m four months late, I am NOT pregnant.
These last four months its been like constant pms. Cramps, back aches, I’ve been extremely moody, bloating, weight gain, breast tenderness and my skin has been breaking out horribly.
I’ve also had a lot of headaches, trouble sleeping, I’ve been sore all over for no reason, itchy skin, and what worries me the most: hot flashes.
I’m going crazy right now.
I’m only 18, and I recently found out that my mother went threw early menopause.
I’ve also been getting a lot of hairs on my chin.
I forget to mention that.
I said EARLY MENOPAUSE.
yes it happens.
My mother went threw it when she was in her 20s.
I’m going to the gyno tomorrow.
I just cant sleep (again), and I because worried after finding that out from my mom.

As we mentioned in previous article, premenstrual syndrome effects over 70% to 90% of women before menopause in US and less for women in Southeast Asia because of their diet. Premenstrual syndrome is defined as faulty function of ovaries related to women menstrual cycle, it effects the women physical and emotional state and sometimes interference with daily activities as resulting of hormone fluctuation. The syndrome happens in one or two weeks before menstruation and then declining when the period starts. In this article, we will discuss what causes headache and migraine for women with PMS.
Migraine headache and headache are the most common symptoms of PMS, they effect about 15% of population and just before or on the days of period. While headache does not accompany with symptoms, migraine usually followed by series of symptoms.

i’m 16 and have just been told by my doctor, from blood test results (and the fact that i haven’t had a period for 16 months. they were never regular in the first place. or even heavy) that i’ve had a very early menopause or have premature ovarian faliure. strangely enough i never got any hot flushes or headaches.
i just feel numb, i hadn’t even thought about kids.
can i ask all the ladies here who’ve been through the menopause what the difference is, what to watch out for, like, will i get wrinkles, osteoporosis, a lower libido, will my boobs go saggy, will i get depressed/anxious, will i forget stuff…i’ve read online about it and i want to check if it’s true.
and when im older, i don’t want to use someone elses eggs to have a child, i want to use mine, for MY child, not someone elses.
i feel all messed up. my auntie hadn’t even STARTED her period when she was my age. and why haven’t i had hot flushes, but to be honest i am VERY forgetful, and i did have depression for half of last year.
also has anyone my age or near my age had the same experience? personal stories? it’d help so much!
thankyou

yes i’ve had a thyroid test, an ultrasound scan and about 4 separate blood tests. i’m being sent for another. it’s pretty definite. i wouldnt be asking if i wasn’t sure.
the doctor i have (who has most probably already had her menopause) ashed her husband who works in the main holpital and he asked someone specializing in this particular type of problem. there’s nothing else it could be. so yes, there has been a second opinion.

I am 20 years old and I am having hot flashes and I have had serious irregularity with my period; in March I had a period every weekend and then haven’t had one since. So it has been 19 weeks since I have had a period. I usually never get headaches but I get one almost everyday now. And most the time they are at the base of my neck or in the top right of my head( above my ear and temple). I have been experiencing slight abdominal pain. My hands and feet get clammy, I have been feeling sluggish and my emotional state has been “sensitive”. My older sister went through pre menopause at 19 or 20 years old and I think that now I may be too. Could pre menopause be a possibility or are these symptoms of another problem?

Almost everybody has experienced being bothered by pain in the head and skull. Headaches are usually caused by stress, eyestrain from watching television or staring at a computer screen for prolonged periods, and hormonal changes. Women know that head pain is quite common before, during or immediately after menstruation. And it is not uncommon to hear menopausal women complain about headache.
