Question by proud mommy of Adriana and Chloe!!: another question for my severe headache during pregnancy question?
i posted about having severe headaches during my pregnancy. They have been nonstop for about a week now, nothing seems to help… some of you answered to see the doctor about it, and i really appreciate the feedback.
I have a check up appointment on Thursday, i was wondering if i should wait to talk to the doctor about them then, or go ahead and make an appointment sooner?
this is my second pregnancy, and i didn’t experience this with my first, so im not sure if its something that i should be really concerned about, or something that could wait a few more days?

Question by ACJ Mom: Migraines or Sinus headache in pregnancy, which one?
I’m currently 38w3d’s pregnant and having terrible headaches for past couple of days. Mainly it’s on the right side of my head that hurts. It feels like someone is poking my brain, like it will burst at any time. To try to ease the pain, I’ll rub my temples but that doesn’t help that much. Does this sound like a migraine or a sinus headache? What are the best remedies for it to go away? Thanks in advance!
My blood pressure has been checked and it’s not high at all. Also I’m not seeing bright spots or black outs. Just to add if I inhale (like take a deep breath), I can feel it start to throb a bit. Also I have doctor’s appt tomorrow, so well see but just wanted some advice beforehand.

Twenty-Four million folks in the United States alone suffer from migraines. A migraine is usually a throbbing or pulsing headache, often focused on one-side of the head, and associated with nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, as well as specific smells. Attacks are usually recurring, and could be less severe as the migraine sufferer ages.

While some people experience a number of migraines a month, a choose few only have a few migraines throughout their lifetime. Almost 75% of migraine sufferers are ladies. Mirena IUD is used for preventing pregnancy for up to 5 years in certain women. It is also used to treat heavy menstrual bleeding. Mirena IUD is a progestin intrauterine device (IUD). It may work in several ways. It may change cervical mucus to prevent the sperm from reaching the egg. It may also change the lining of the uterus to prevent implantation in the uterus if an egg is fertilized. This change in the lining of the uterus also helps to decrease heavy menstrual bleeding.
Mirena is a soft, flexible IUD that releases small amounts of hormone locally into your uterus. It gives you birth control you can count on–that lasts for as long as you want, for up to 5 years. Mirena is also proven to reduce heavy periods in women who choose intrauterine contraception.
