i have stress headaches, i get them all the time and advil and stuff like that barely helps. natural remedys?
I’m having the worst summer ever. i miss my friend ryan so much, he’s away for the summer. i cry alot and i always feel sick. its like im making myself sick and i dont know how to stop. please help.

How old are you? There are many things you can do, try and avoid stress and take walks watch funny movies talk to a friend, or yoga or deep breathing exercises. GOOD LUCK!!! LIFE IS TOO SHORT to worry about ONE THING!! Find a new hobby!? Start an art project? take an art class? yoga class? Something to keep you busy!! GOOD LUCK!
drink some tea,, sit and relax. try not to be on the computer or watch any tv! that will make your headache a lot worse. try to keep busy during the day to reduce stress cause all the stress during the day comes back as a bad headache!!!
I am 21 and have been making myself sick with worry since I was a senior in high school. I have been diagnosed with anxiety. In your case, I think it’s just circumstantial to your friend being away, but it doesn’t make your situation any less painful. For the feelings that make you make yourself sick, try deep breathing and talking to someone else close to you about your feelings, cry if you need to – I find that if I am holding in tears my headaches come on a lot faster and harder. If I am unhappy/nervous/making myself sick I will go outside and just sit in the sun for a little while, it makes me happier. Also make sure you’re eating, because if you don’t that will make it worse – even if you don’t have an appetite. As for the headache pain – wet a washcloth with either really hot or cold water and put it on the back of your neck (usually where tension/stress headaches occur)… or get someone to rub and squeeze your head, it temporarily feels really good and will sometimes help you relax and make the feelings go away.
Hang in there, think of a past bad experience you’ve had to go through and got through. You will eventually get through this, the summer is almost over and you will completely forget about what you had to go through. Think of how good your friendship will be after having this time apart and missing each other.
Also, if you’re female and older teens+ rent the seasons of sex & the city – I find that when I am lonely and sad watching this makes me feel like I have girlfriends around me and like it is okay to be alone and be independent.
Think of working on yourself as being the best you can be as an individual and when you get to see Ryan again you will be happy and fabulous! Try working out, it definitely relieves stress and sadness – it’s a natural mood booster. Even if you hate exercising, try just getting out and going for a short walk, it will definitely help.
