its her period
You want formal, you’ll need to see a doctor.
Monthly fluctuations in hormones can trigger headaches, particularly migraines. Even if she is perimenopausal or menopausal, there is still hormone activity that follows a monthly pattern. (The body doesn’t have an actual on/off switch for menopause.)
Why hasn’t she been prescribed medication for migraines? It isn’t safe to mess around with hormone levels, so treating the symptom is the best approach.
This could be caused by a number of reasons, first it could be from not getting enough vitamins like b12 or fish oil,
It could also be at worst a tumor but since she has had brain scans it’s highly unlikely,
The most possible reason would be the effects of menopause.
you don’t want guessings??????????????? your wife has had a scan, and if the medical profession is none the wiser, how do you expect us to be?
That sounds like migraines to me. There are many different types of migraines though. There are some that are only triggered by a woman’s period, some that are triggered by foods, others, more rare, only develop when a person reaches a later age like 50+.
You might want to look into the symptoms and do a little research. Also, see a doctor they’ve got a lot of medications now that actually do a good job at treating and sometimes preventing migraines.
The brain is thought to swell along with other parts of the body during menses. Rice is thought to absorb the extra moisture. Remember, her body is finely tuned and utterly perfect. She needs to ask for sumatriptin (Imatrex) if the circulation is constricting. There is no excuse why her doc should not be treating her monthly headaches and perhaps she needs to get rough with him. Remember, hormonal changes are taking place and they are absolutely perfect (wait til she starts with the hot flashes!!). Best wishes…..she is so lucky she has you to care about her……
I think it is her period because you will get headaches in that time
