Relieving tension headaches… any last resorts?
I have been getting more tension headaches than usual. I have tried so many things and I am at the end of my rope. I literally do not have the time to deal with them. I am a nursing student and I work a full time job and a PRN job.
I have gotten masages, but it is hard to find time to schedule them, and pay for them. My massage therapist did say my trapezious muscles get very tight. I cannot take medicine like Advil becuase some of my other medications just countereffect it. I try stretching but the relief is short lived.
I do not know what else to try! Any tips anyone has tried? Especially ones that are easy to do at work, school, etc.

I take Flexeril for tension headaches and it seems to help. I don’t know what kind of medications you are on so I don’t know if there are any interactions.
Ok I learned these from a Chinese person that does these every morning. I don’t do them every morning, usually only when my head starts hurting.
You start off by bringing your chin to your chest (to the north). Hold for five seconds.
Then bring your head back (to the south).
Hold for five seconds.
Next, tilt your head to the left (to the West).
Hold for five seconds.
Last, tilt your head to the right (to the East).
Hold for five seconds.
The second thing you want to do is roll your head around to the left and make five circles.
Now do the opposite, five circles to the right.
I usually hear my neck pop a couple times, but then I feel great after that. Just remember to keep your breathing regular the whole time.
Pl try simple acupressure given below.

Pain killers don’t treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves’ juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.
For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.
It may disappear naturally too.
