About a year ago, I accidentally sprayed perfume in my nose, one full puff went into nose and I immediately felt pain and burning sensation back of my head. Ever since I started having headaches and it turned into CDH. Had three CAT scans and MRI with MRA but those came unremarkable. Tried all types of Migraine medicines and for last six months I am on Depakote 1000 mg plus Toporal 100mg. Headache is moderate but still becomes severe at times. Anyone knows any remedy?, Will appreciate the answers. Thanks.
The perfume incident happend in March’2006. Actually the headache pickedup badly in april’2006. After going through couple of CAT scans and MRI (with MRA) of brain the nuerologist put me Levaquin,Inderal,Indocin,Elavil,Topamaxand Depakote one after another along with Triptans. Finally Depakote with Toporal started working but not that great though. Meanwhile in Dec’2006 I also saw a ENT specialist, he ordered a CAT scan of upper extremity (with neck and nose) found nothing remarkable. This headache has really changed my life. I am able to function but no relief from headache though. The severity of pain ranges from 4-7 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest.

When people are unable to think properly and look straight, chances are the person has a headache. Cases such as these may be mild to severe which is why doctors say, “its only in the head.”

There are two kinds of headaches. The first is called the tension headache, which may happen for a few minutes to a few hours. It usually goes away by drinking some water or taking a break from whatever the person is doing. Those who are experiencing this for more than 15 days in a given month has something worse which is the second kind called a chronic headache. Research shows that there are very few people that have this problem. This often occurs to women than men perhaps because of hormones and other chemicals in the body.

HOW to cope with chronic daily headache?

I have had a headache for over 4 months now. Been to Dr., had MRI, getting blood tests, blood pressure fine, so far no sign of intercranial pressure or stroke. I do not see an end in sight, lost faith in Doctors.
I have other, more serious, health issues to contend with, I have a fairly high tolerance for pain and I need it for enduring this…it is a pressure headache with the intensity of a severe migrane 24/7, nothing works.
So anyone who has these chronic daily headaches, how have you coped?
What do you you everyday to get through each day?
I mean do you still drive and stuff?

Chronic Tension Headache Symptoms

The majority of us do get tension headaches occasionally. This kind of headache normally happens when we feel stressed, tired or angry. Many of us do not have much knowledge about the symptoms of chronic tension headache and tend to ignore it considering it as an ordinary one.

There are two types of tension headaches. One is chronic and the other one is episodic. A chronic tension headache symptom varies slightly from the episodic headache symptoms. When it lasts for a short period of time then it is known as episodic but if it lasts for a longer period and occurs frequently then it is called as chronic tension headache in medical terms.
