As per doctor’s orders, I did two months of continuous dosing with Ortho Cyclen to avoid starting my period on my wedding day. I stopped taking the pill almost two weeks ago, and my symptoms have gotten worse ever since. The first few days off the pill, I had mild nausea after eating, but it wasn’t really bothersome. Now, I’m suffering from constant nausea accompanied by a dull headache, changes in urination, and hot flashes- I am 22 years old. Sudden temperature change (taking a shower, using car AC) seems to bring the symptoms on strongly. Is this all associated with stopping the pill or something else?

I’m four months late, I am NOT pregnant.
These last four months its been like constant pms. Cramps, back aches, I’ve been extremely moody, bloating, weight gain, breast tenderness and my skin has been breaking out horribly.
I’ve also had a lot of headaches, trouble sleeping, I’ve been sore all over for no reason, itchy skin, and what worries me the most: hot flashes.
I’m going crazy right now.
I’m only 18, and I recently found out that my mother went threw early menopause.
I’ve also been getting a lot of hairs on my chin.
I forget to mention that.
I said EARLY MENOPAUSE.
yes it happens.
My mother went threw it when she was in her 20s.
I’m going to the gyno tomorrow.
I just cant sleep (again), and I because worried after finding that out from my mom.

Many people believe they suffer from chronic sinus headaches because they frequently suffer from sever pain around their sinus areas in their face and head. It is possible to have chronic sinus headaches however the condition is rare and can only be diagnosed by a doctor.

A chronic sinus headache would not be as painful as the more common acute sinus headache which occurs during a sinus infection. When sinuses are clogged bacteria can grow in the nasal passages creating an infection of the nasal passages commonly known as a sinus infection.

The headache associated with a sinus infection is quite severe and common treatments such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen will not help the pain. Chronic sinus headaches and acute sinus headaches will often require antibiotics to kill the infection as well as medications to alleviate the sinus pain.

Migraine Headaches

Many self-diagnosed chronic sinus headache suffers could actually be suffering from migraine headaches, the pain occurs in much the same places in the face and head. However, the cause of migraine headaches are varied and rarely are related to an illness.

Some people who believe they suffer from chronic sinus headaches believe the change in weather or pollution such as chemical smells or smoke are the cause of their sinus headache. In fact, these are triggers of migraine headaches.

If an allergy does exist it would not cause a sinus headache, because with allergies such as pollen, dander, or dust which cause nasal drainage. The fact that there is drainage omits the possibility of chronic sinus headache occurrences.

Moreover, many people take over the counter medications for sinus headaches such as sinus relief medicines, allergy medicines, or other pain relieving medication. However, these medications often will have no effect on the headache.

Tension Headaches

Tension headaches are also often thought to be pain masquerading as chronic sinus headaches. Tension headaches can cause pain in the temples and across the forehead. Because of this many people do mistake tension headaches for chronic sinus headaches.

Many tension headaches are accompanied by pain in the neck and shoulders. Sometimes the pain is right at the base of the head. Because there are also glands here, this can confuse many people into believing that they are suffering from chronic sinus headaches instead of tension headaches.

A doctor can perform tests to determine if a person has chronic sinus headaches. If someone believes they have chronic sinus headaches they should immediately contact a physician as medial treatment is necessary to relieve the pain and kill the infection.

Here’s the list:
Mild acne (haven’t had it since I was in Jr. High)
Increased amount of headaches
Breast tenderness/nipples changing color
Intermittent skin flushing/feeling hot
Mild weight gain without a cause(I’m an avid exerciser)
Sudden, constant, digestive problems (gas/constipation) without a cause
Lastly, my always regular, predictable periods (every 27 days, 6 days long, heavy bleeding MONSTER cramps) have become almost non-existent.e
Light/Moderate bleeding, no cramps whatsoever, 6 days later than usual, 3.5 days long.)

Could I be going into menopause? What else could cause these symptoms?

I’m fifteen years old and recently, September 12th, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend of five months using the pull out method That same night I started feeling really intense stomach pain to the point I couldn’t move, and it continued on until that morning. When the pain went away, what was left was a weird sensation in my stomach, and I’ve been feeling that everyday ever since.
As well as that, my breasts have been extremely sensitive which is not normal for me. I’ve also been extremely bloated and that happens only about a week before I get my period, but I’ve also gained a few pounds.
Another symptom is I’ve been feeling nauseated/ extremely dizzy at randomly points of the day, and after I eat I feel like I need to throw up, although I haven’t.
The last thing is I’ve had a increasingly bad headache. I do suffer from chronic daily headaches, but they seem to have gotten worse lately.
My period isn’t due until October 3rd, so I’m not able to take a pregnancy test, but the paranoia is driving me and my boyfriend up the wall…we really don’t know what to do.
Think I could be pregnant…or just extremely bad PMS signs?

Today i was sitting in class, and the left side of my vision suddenly got cloudy. (kind of like when you look into a light and you get those little dark spots…except it was much worse than that), and it kept getting worse, so i went to the school nurse. She thought it was a problem with my contact lens, but it wasn’t. It eventually went away, and i got a massive headache. The pain was/is only on the right side of my head, from right above my eye to about my ear.
I took advil(ibuprofen) because that’s all i had at school, even though i know tylenol is better for headaches. The pain got a little better, but it’s still kind of there as a dull ache, and whenever i move my head quickly it hurts.
My mom and my brother both get migraines….
Do you think this is a migraine? Are these typical symptoms of a migraine?

It doesn’t hurt my teeth or anything in my mouth when I chew, it hurts an area near my temples.

There can be an umpteen number of reasons for a headache attack, realizing the immediate origin always is a tough task. There is the plain headache, which can be endured without affecting the day to day activities while sometimes there can be a severe headache or migraine, which will totally stop you in your tracks.

Is Serotonin the Reason for Severe Headaches or Migraines?

A migraine attack may totally paralyze, and stop everything you are doing. The classic migraine is stamped by sudden severe headaches attack which then recedes soon. The cause for this type of attack is still unknown.

The medication needed to relive migraine strong. Also taking rest in quiet and dark ambience really helps. Light and sound can aggravate the migraine.

The level of Serotonin in the blood and the occurrence of severe headaches are closely related. This chemical usually acts on the blood vessels directing to the brain. They increase or decrease the vessel side depending upon the actual level of Serotonin circulating in the blood. A severe headache attacks when the level of Serotonin deviates on the normal levels.

It would be beneficial for the diagnosis if you are able to make a report of the frequency with which the headaches attack and also the other symptoms associated with it like fever, body ache, double vision, etc.

Self medication is not advisable in migraine. The problem may not just be a headache but something more serious. It is always advisable to track your headache for a month or few and consult a doctor for suitable treatment.

Severe headache is instigated by various factors and not always the reason underlying may be fatal, but an early awareness, diagnosis and proper treatment can aver the existence of one, and help you save from an ungratifying tragedy.

The symptoms have been increasing slowly over the past several months. It sort of crept up on me, until I finally noticed that I’ve been taking Excedrin about 3-4 times a day.

I go to bed with a headache. Wake up with one. The Excedrin provides some relief until 4 to 6 hours later when I have to take some more.

I feel pain on both sides of my head and also in the area around and behind my eyes, but I have no sinus symptoms and don’t have allergies.

I thought it might be eye strain causing it, because I do work on a computer, but I had my annual eye exam several weeks ago and there were no changes in my prescription.

When I’ve looked around the internet on different headache websites it seems that my headache might be in the class of tension headaches, but that seems to be accompanied by high blood pressure, which I don’t have.

Does anyone else have what I do? What brought you relief? I have a doctor appointment, but it’s not for two more weeks.

Thanks!

I was wondering if any of you ladies on here who have already gone through menopause would tell me if when your period DOES end, can it just SUDDENLY END? I’m 48 years old and as of yet have not had any of the symptoms you read about (hot flashes, etc) but my period normally comes like clockwork and now I am almost a week late. And I’m not having any of the symptoms I normally usually get before my period comes, like headaches and feeling bloated.

I took a pregnancy test today and it came back negative.

About three weeks ago I started getting daily headaches. They are not severe, and they go away with a couple ibuprofen. They are more of a minor nucense than anything. I have been doing some reading trying to find what it could be, but I an not sure. I am slightly nearsighted, but I do not wear anything for it. This has been the case for a while, and my vision does not seem to be any worse recently, nor do I find my self squinting any more than normal. I do have elivated blood pressure, but has stayed fairly stable and does not require medication. Also it is just in the head (left side from the temple back). I do not have any neck or back pain. Also while I do not have any pain in my jaw or mouth, I find when I open my mouth slightly this does help with the pain? Any suggestions.
Don’t think it would be CO. I live in an apartment on the third floor with no gas appliances, and the windows have all been open for the past month. For the sinusitis, it is more towards the back of my head, not as much on the front of my face. I am going to the dentist on Wednesday, so I will see what he says.

There are many very early pregnancy symptoms and how can you tell if they are a sign of pregnancy? The more of these symptoms you have that are listed below then the higher probability there is that you are pregnant. Read through the list below and see how many of these very early pregnancy symptoms you have.

 Very Early Pregnancy Symptoms:

Most pregnant women have some very early pregnancy symptoms. On the rare occasion some women have no symptoms of early pregnancy except that them miss their menstrual period. Some women are so busy in their lives that they are unaware that their menstrual period was due and forget they did not get their periods.

You missed your menstrual period could indicate you are pregnant.

You menstrual period was late and you only had some mild spotting instead of a proper menstrual flow.

You are experiencing morning sickness and/or vomiting first thing in the morning could indicate pregnancy.

Your food suddenly tastes differently and you now dislike certain foods.

You are suddenly craving certain foods is a very early symptom of pregnancy, which indicates you are depleted in minerals.

Your breasts are tender and seem to be enlarging.

The brown part of your nipple (the areola) is becoming darker and bigger.

You notice your energy level is lower and you are feeling tired all the time.

You have more mood swings than normal, which can be a result of sudden hormone changes that occurs in pregnancy.

You are making more trips to the bathroom to urinate and there is not pain associated with urination is a common very early symptom of pregnancy.

You start to experience headaches that can be a direct effect of hormones as a symptom of early pregnancy.

Diagnosis of Pregnancy:

If you are sexually active and have one or more of the above early symptom of pregnancy then purchase a home pregnancy kit. Test your urine first thing in the morning when your urine is more concentrated to see if you are pregnant or not. These pregnancy tests are very sensitive and very accurate; a positive test means you are definitely pregnant. A negative pregnancy test may not conclusive especially if you performed it incorrectly or not testing an early morning urine sample.

Now what:

If you believe you are pregnant, seek medical or midwifery advice to confirm pregnancy and discuss your pregnancy plans.

If you are taking prescription medications, notify your health care provider immediately that you are pregnant to seek advice about your medication.

While you are waiting for your appointment, start taking a daily multivitamin which has at least 400 micrograms of folic acid in it to prevent congenital abnormalities.

Take adequate mineral supplements to prevent pregnancy complications.

Eat good nutritious food and make sure you increase your protein intake.

Stop all alcohol intake and stop smoking cigarettes or drastically reduce, your baby’s life depends on you.

Also see medical or midwifery advice if you are not pregnant and you menstrual period does not come within the next month as you may have an underlying medical condition.

Pregnancy Statistics:

65% of all pregnancies are unplanned.

25% of all pregnancies ends in a miscarriage.

25% of women choose to terminate their pregnancy.
