Many people report sinus headache symptoms to their doctors or may self diagnose for sinus symptoms when there is no sinus headache at all. The patient may be diagnosed for the sinus headache while the symptoms might be pointing to migraine headaches instead.

I have a really bad sinus headache. Tylenol isn’t working. I was wondering if any pregnant women out there took Sudafed and have been fine. I also would like to know if any pregnant women out there took TheraFlu and been OK too…
Thank you

I have had a MRI and CT Scan, both show a cyst in my sinus cavity about the size of a quarter. I have been to ENT doctors and I am currently seeing a neurologist. They say the cyst is harmless and will not cause headaches. I feel preasure where the cyst is located and have headaches often. My neurologist precribed me medication to take daily for the headaches and they are less severe and frequent but still a burden. I have seen two doctors that say that the cyst is harmless, should I get another opinion?

Does anyone know of any tried-and-true methods to relieve sinus pressure?? I’ve got a horrid MIGRAINE that I’ve had since yesterday afternoon and, for the first time, I can’t get rid of & it hurts sooo bad!! It’s mostly sinus (in forehead & behind eyes) but feels like it may partially be tension too cause I have aching in my neck!! I’ve taken various different headache meds (excedrin tension headache, sudafed sinus headache [which usually works], etc), tried blowing my nose & tried this method of mine while sleeping that sorta presses on my eyes & forehead to relieve pressure but it’s not working this time when it usually does!!! It’s 4 am & I live with roommates so I can’t go digging around for an ice pack or even a heating pad to help either cause I’d wake them up. (I don’t even know WHERE we would keep a heating pad in the first place IF we even had one!)
Can someone help me????
It’s gotten so bad that I’m on the verge of tears & it’s starting to make me sick to my stomach too……
My sinuses are clear (I can breathe fine), I’ve tried massage & running water is out of the question cause it would be too loud….the bathroom & our bedrooms are all in the same small area. I also have noooo idea how to do yoga & don’t see how it could help.
It’s now 4:30 am, I’ve been up since 3:30 & unfortunately I’m supposed to be up at 6 am for work!! As much as I would looove to call in sick, I just can’t. I’m relied on quite a bit at this point cause we’re busy.

I have had migraines for years (since I was 12). About 10 years ago. I started getting these awful sinus infections with unbelievable sinus headaches. I have seen nuerologist, allergist, ENT (had sinus surgery-no help), trips to the ER-nada. I get these sinus infections 3-4 times a year and have taken more antibiotics than I can count. I wake up with headaches, they get worse at night-I avoid sleep sometimes. After 3-5 weeks it gets better for a while. Oh-the sinus infections were diagnosed by sinus pressure pain on the right side of the face under my eye, runny nose on that side, teary eyes, swollen eyes, sometimes I get a droopy eye too and often look flushed. So-about two weeks ago I watched House-and he diagnosed a kid with cluster headaches based on my symptoms for the recurring sinus infections! My hubby said “that sounds like you”. Could it be that this is my problem? If it is clusters, can I get treatment that will help? I have started putting ambesol in my nose-it’s that bad!!
doo1964-that sums up my problems fairly well. My family doc keeps tossing antibiotic at it and the zomig does sometimes seem to help. I found a little info on cluster headaches that suggest steriods during the attacks to break the cycle. If it would help…As for autoimmune-my mom has fibromyalgia, my aunt and cousin have RA, and another aunt has MS. So the chances for autoimmune problems is on my mom’s side of the family. I would love to hear if anyone has found a treatment that gives them any help!

My symptoms are left and right side headaches, but mostly on my left side, with pain and pressure with swelling in my frontal and cheek area. I would always go to a urgent care clinic and they would take x-ray and say I had sinus infection and gave me antibitoic and sometimes IV. I went to my medical doctor and she thought it was a sinus infection and gave me amoxicillin which helped and made the swelling go down, but comes right back after I stop taking the antibitoic. She also had me get a cat scan and to see a ENT doctor. My cat scan came back normal, but I don’t know if that’s because I was on the antibitoic and it cleared it up and I went ENT and he said I didn’t have sinus, because the cat scan was normal. I went back to my medical doctor and she said I must have migraine then and gave me ibuprofen. So I don’t know if it is just a migraine or sinus headaches or both.

I’m 18 weeks pregnant and I keep getting bad sinus headaches and my allergies are driving me crazy! I’ve heard that Benadryl is okay for pregnant women but I don’t have the facts. Thanks!

I’ve had this headache for 5 days now and I’m starting to go a little crazy. I can hardly sleep. I’ve tried hot and cold compresses – switching every 30 seconds for 10 minutes and it didn’t do anything – all 3 times that I tried. I need medication!
correction – acetaminophen
I am 17 weeks along!
